{"id":2257,"date":"2015-10-27T21:13:05","date_gmt":"2015-10-27T21:13:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.acugis.com\/blogs\/?p=2257"},"modified":"2024-01-26T07:13:09","modified_gmt":"2024-01-26T07:13:09","slug":"infrastructure-and-support","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/acugis.com\/blogs\/infrastructure-and-support\/","title":{"rendered":"Infrastructure and Support"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Renewing our Commitment<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Over the past few months you may have noticed some recurring interruptions to our services due to\u00a0some core infrastructure issues which although have fallen outside of our control it is not the high\u00a0standard of service that we aim to offer nor the high standards that we expect from our\u00a0infrastructure vendors.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past 2 weeks we have made a significant investment in an entirely new infrastructure\u00a0which not only brings with it a vast increase in resiliency but also in performance with execution of\u00a0processes now on average 5 times faster than they were before the migration.<\/p>\n<p>This infrastructure\u00a0upgrade will also resolve all of the issues that have been seen in particular over the past 6 weeks\u00a0that have led to services being interrupted.<\/p>\n<p>As of Saturday 24th October at 5PM GMT this upgrade is\u00a0now completed.<\/p>\n<p>AcuGIS has also grown to be one of the most recognisable brands for GIS based services over the\u00a0past few years and with that there have been growing demands on day to day support which has\u00a0been difficult to keep up with at times. With our infrastructure addressed we now also thought it\u00a0was the best time to address our support services and also bring them up to the high standards that\u00a0we expect of ourselves.<\/p>\n<p>With that being said we are pleased to announce that as of Wednesday 28th of October we will be\u00a0bringing in several new support representatives to the team to improve our customer service\u00a0experience.<\/p>\n<p>As the last piece in the re-design of our entire infrastructure and support systems we will be\u00a0deploying a new set of monitoring agents to all of our servers to not only detect current problems\u00a0but to proactively detect and fix potential issues before they become active problems.<\/p>\n<p>We would like to take this chance to apologise for the issues in recent months but to also make clear\u00a0our commitment to you as a valued customer to restore our services in all aspects to the high\u00a0standards that the company was founded on and that we expect of ourselves.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions regarding these changes please raise a support ticket via our customer\u00a0portal and we will be happy to answer them.<\/p>\n<p>Kind Regards,<\/p>\n<p>David Ghedini<\/p>\n<p>Chief Technology\u00a0Officer<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Renewing our Commitment Over the past few months you may have noticed some recurring interruptions to our services due to\u00a0some core infrastructure issues which although have fallen outside of our control it is not the high\u00a0standard of service that we aim to offer nor the high standards that we expect from our\u00a0infrastructure vendors.
