Send data by SFTP¶
GeoJibe can upload the converted file to an SFTP server.
You need to be signed in.
Before you start¶
You'll need the host, a username, and either a password or an SSH private key. The remote directory you upload into must already exist. GeoJibe does not create missing parent folders.
1. Save an SFTP Destination¶
Open Destinations → Add Destination → SFTP.
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Host / Port | Server and port (usually 22) |
| Authentication | Password or Private key |
| Username | SFTP user |
| Password or Private key | Matching secret |
| Key passphrase | Only if the key is encrypted |
| Base directory | Optional prefix for relative remote paths |
Click Test, then Save.
Warning
GeoJibe does not verify the server's SSH host key. Use SFTP only with hosts you already trust.
2. Add your data¶
Upload or import, then Convert if you need a particular output file.
3. Choose SFTP¶
Add SFTP, select the saved Destination, and set Remote path, for example incoming/neighborhoods.gpkg.
If the path ends with /, GeoJibe appends the converted filename.
Existing file:
- Fail if file exists
- Overwrite existing file
4. Run¶
Click Run or Save via SFTP.
What happens next?¶
The converted file is uploaded to that path. Overwrite uploads to a temporary name first, then replaces the target.
Having trouble?¶
- Parent directory missing → create it on the server first
