Since the acquisition of AcuGIS.com by MapFig, Inc, we have been focusing on providing the best possible services and support.

We are very happy to announced we have now re-gained the 5 Star Excellence Rating from Shopper Approved.

ShopperApproved is widely used across the hosting industry.  It is a very useful tool for both hosts and consumers as it provides both with needed information about service levels.

ShopperApproved is not a rubber stamp service.  You cannot pick and chose which reviews are displayed.

Providers are allowed to veto only 1 review per year(!).

This is one of many reasons why ShopperApproved, which accepts ratings only from verified customers, is used and valued widely across the industry.

As part of our commitment to offer the best GIS tools possible, we are very pleased to announce a new, un-managed VPS cloud service: DistroGIS

DistroGIS provides the most popular GIS components (PostgreSQL, PostGIS, GeoServer, GeoNode, OpenGeo, etc…) along with a LAMP stack and NodeJS.

Full root access is provided and Webmin is also included along with Proj,GDAL, and other GIS utilities.

DistroGIS is ideal for a number of use-cases:

  1. GIS professionals who want an on-demand development environments
  2. Those wanting to build a full GIS web application
  3. Those looking to learn more about GIS
  4. As a platform for testing before making changes to your development environment.

Current Distros offered are:
