Number Functions

Number (Math / Formatting) functions calculate and format numeric values.

Goal

Perform math or numeric formatting in an expression.

Where to look in the builder

• Math — arithmetic helpers (round, abs, min/max, and related)
• Formatting — display patterns for numbers and related values

Steps

1. Open the Expression Builder.
2. Browse Math or Formatting.
3. Insert a function and supply numeric fields or literals.
4. Optionally set a Text Field pattern for currency or decimal display.

Tips

Tip

For currency-style output, combine a numeric expression with the Text Field’s pattern setting rather than hard-coding symbols in every expression.
